Introduction

The search window lets BIMSearch users extract data reports from the model. These data reports can be helpful with various daily engineering tasks such as calculating quantities, estimating, billing, ordering material and much more. The reports present the results of the search.

In order to search the model, you can use one of our pre-defined search templates, edit a template, or customize an entirely new search.

Once you have defined your search, press “save as template” to save the search settings for future use, or press “create report” to see the search results in tabular form in the report, and highlighted on the model.
